Welcome to the new season of Motherhood Talks!
Motherhood Talks is a peer-to-peer postpartum with moderation & empathic presence of professional postpartum experts (doulas, lactation consultants, wellness instructors…).
The group is aimed for mums & babies aged 1 month to 1 year.
The group is free and international, our language is English.
The group gathers weekly at Lilla Luckan 12:00 to 14:00 on Wednesdays.
We have the following topics on the schedule, but the topics can change based on the desires and needs of the people attending every week. This is just a plan, but motherhood not always goes like the plan, right?
Here’s the plan for Spring 2026:
- 14.1 Navigating the dark season.
- 21.1 Letting go in Parenting. Less is more. What can I reduce? What can I let go? What could I do with the space I release?
- 28.1 Pelvic pain post-birth with Janna Rosenqvist pelvic floor physiotherapist
- 4.2 When parenting styles clash
- 11.2 Creating your motherhood vision. How do you see yourself in a few years time? What would make you feel a successful mother?
- 18.2 NO SESSION THIS WEEK
- 25.2 Mom guilt– is it really useful?
- 4.3 Experiencing loss , your own loss and holding space for others
- 11.3 What surprised you most in becoming a parent
- 18.3 Multilingual baby/family: challenges, strategies
- 25.3 Feeding baby breastfeeding/bottle feeding basics to introducing solids with guest Laura Merivirta lactation consultant
- 1.4 Mental health and wellbeing through intense hormonal shifting
- 8.4 Osteopathy for moms and babies guest Mari Koski osteopath
- 15.4 Complicated feelings about parenting differently to my own parents
- 22.4 Birth story sharing with an open heart
- 29.4 Attachment parenting and what it means
- 6.5 Anger, resentment, and rage in motherhood. Where do these feelings stem from? How do they get expressed? What triggers them?
- 13.5 Changes in family/relationship dynamics after baby
- 20.5 Body changes after birth that people don’t talk about
- 27.5 End of season party and get together
Remember, you can choose which session suits you and which you would rather skip.
We aim to create a very warm, empathic, and understanding space each time to assure that everyone feels safe and welcomed. We can only do that together as a group, so thank you for that.
