nice to meet you! I'm
Lara
I’m a passionate Breastfeeding Educator & Lactation Consultant in training.
I am also a mum to a lively toddler, currently expecting my second baby.
about me
Hey there
One morning, I was breastfeeding my daughter as I watched the sun rise. I took a deep breath and thought how nursing had become the most rewarding, loving and beautiful thing I had ever done in my life. It was also the hardest, the most challenging and overwhelming thing I had ever done – and so very different from what I had imagined.
Through my own experience of motherhood and breastfeeding challenges, I became increasingly fascinated by lactation and by the incredibly complex relationship between babies, feeding, development and parental wellbeing. The more I learned, the more I realized that while breastfeeding is biological, that doesn’t mean it is always easy.
That is what led me to pursue formal lactation studies through the Healthy Children Project and ultimately to work towards becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
My goal is to help parents feel prepared, supported, informed, and confident as they navigate breastfeeding. I aim to offer support that respects you, your baby, your family and your goals. The kind of support every parent needs while finding their way through parenthood.
Latch & Launch
SUPPORTING YOU WITHOUT JUDGEMENT
Every nursing journey is different. The way it unfolds can directly affect how you feel about your body, your parenting and your relationship with your baby. Sometimes, simply having someone listen and help make sense of what is happening can make a huge difference. You are not alone and you are always welcome to reach out.
My support is for every parent, wherever they are in their feeding journey. Whether you exclusively breastfeed, mix feed, formula feed, or are weaning, your goals matter. I am here for you and I promise to always listen first.
Also, please remember: you don’t need to have everything figured out before asking for help. To be learning does not mean to be failing.
I would be honoured to support you and your baby on your feeding journey.
Informed Care
I combine current lactation knowledge with practical support that takes into account your individual circumstances, preferences and goals.
